The link provided below will take you to the Australian Government NHMRC (National Health and Medical Research Council) Web Site. A report was commissioned by the Australian Federal Minister for Health (at the time) Mr Tony Abbott, in response to the media coverage by The Channel Nine ‘A Current Affair’ of Dr Holt and his innovative radiowave therapy.
Please read the following first, so that you have the Report in context.
It is unfortunate, but a fact that Dr Holt, who practiced radiowave therapy for some 30 years, did not have the facilities or mechanisms for detailed long term research of the science of his therapies. It would have required enormous Investment in treatment data capture and records management, clinical outcomes analysis, technologies and resources to conduct treatments comparative analysis, along with other instruments, devices and personnel. Dr Holt was never going to be able to achieve the evidencing necessary to gain support for his inventive cancer treatment from within his Industry.
The shame of it is that no other parties took up the challenge and set about investing in evidencing the treatments to satisfy the skeptics once and for all.
Therefore, in terms of research of radiowave therapy, none of any long term nature has been done. A very limited analysis occurred many years ago comparing one type of cancer response to radiotherapy, the NHMRC report refers to this.
The NHMRC did not conduct its own research of the methods of radiowave therapy treatment over extended periods; It did not review different types of cancer response with different pre and post patient conditions, with a range of different types of other cancer treatment outcomes.
The NHMRC did not set up it own laboratories and analyse the science of the treatment.
This is why there is really only the testaments of those who have had outcomes from the treatments. But the NHMRC report did not use any of these testaments.
The NHMRC drew its outcomes from its own terms of reference, and therefore when you read the NHMRC report you will be reminded of the compelling need for the radiowave therapy research now being conducted by the Radiowave Therapy Research Institute.
